GOOD CANDIDATES FOR A FACE LIFT PROCEDURE
There are several reasons to consider a face lift:

HOW A FACE LIFT IS PERFORMED
Dr. Dev’s face lifts are performed on an outpatient basis at a Bakersfield hospital or state-of-the-art surgical unit while the patient is asleep under a general anesthesia. Small incisions are made just inside the hairline, following the contour of the front of the ear and continuing under the back of the earlobe and into the lower scalp area behind the ear. The skin is dissected, the tissue and fat are separated, and then anchor sutures are applied to tighten the musculature. The skin is re-draped and excess skin is removed before sutures are inserted. Dr. Dev does everything possible to limit the size of incisions, and his tiny sutures will help the resulting scars to be as invisible as possible. Face lift surgery typically lasts from 1.5 to 4 hours. You will need a friend or family member to drive you home after your breast augmentation procedure, as you will still be recovering from anesthesia.

RECOVERY FROM BAKERSFIELD FACE LIFT

At the end of your face lift procedure, your face will be bandaged to decrease swelling and speed recovery. Post-operative instructions call for plenty of rest and sitting up in a chair to sleep for the first several nights to minimize swelling. You may find that ice packs are comfortable, particularly if you have also had eyelid rejuvenation or other facial procedures. Over-the-counter pain medication is generally adequate to control discomfort. Please do not smoke within a month after your surgery, however, because smoking steals essential oxygen from your tissues, which can lead to poor healing.
